Job summary

SilencerCo, LLC is seeking a CNC Machine Operator for the Night Shift in West Valley City, UT. The role starts at entry level with training available; full-time position with a 4:00 PM - 2:30 AM schedule (Mon-Thu).

You will build precision components using metrology and machine monitoring software, with emphasis on safety and quality. The position requires basic math and measuring skills, the ability to read blueprints, and strong attendance.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, part prints, process documentation, and work center guidelines
• Understand coordinate planes
• Know how to change a wide variety of inserts
• Knowledge of different types of stock and inserts
• Understanding of axis and direction in regard to making offsets.
• Understand how to sequence restart
• Understand how to properly use measuring instruments
• Know how to check calibration of measuring devices
• Ability to problem-solve
• Ability to communicate issues/problems as they arise
• Have exceptional attendance
• Great work ethic and attitude
• Team player
• Basic understanding of SilencerCo product line

Responsibilities

• Use metrology to validate Quality on all machined components
• Be able to run machines efficiently based on daily standard work
• Check parts through company systems accurately with high attention to detail
• Utilize machine monitoring software
• Set up coolant lines to maximize tool life
• Keep up on machine maintenance and know how to reset maintenance alarms
• Replace machines high pressure unit filters
• Comply with safe work practices; understanding work injury procedures, workers comp, and safety standards
