Job summary

Qualifications

• 3 years of machining experience.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Willing to work nights, weekends and overtime.
• Experience with CNC mills, EDMs, lathes and Swiss machines.
• Basic NC programming knowledge and tooling sense.
• Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.
• Familiarity with SPC principles Cp/Cpk and process capability.
• Understand shop procedures and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Create standard work procedures and update processes when problems are identified.
• Maintain operator level 3 skill status on all production CNCs.
• Troubleshoot NC code on all production machines.
• Proof new programs, fixtures and setups before handoff to production.
• Provide programming suggestions to improve stability and tool paths.
• Manage TPM intervals to avoid breakdowns and long cycles.
• Comply with safe work practices and OSHA standards.
• Identify tooling productivity and evaluate new tooling needs.
• Understand Cp and Cpk and maintain a capable process for operators.
• Plan rework strategies as needed.
• Collect accurate process metrics during new product introduction and process improvements.
• Offer schedule flexibility as needed.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
