Job summary

ITT Inc. in the United States is seeking a CNC Machinist Level III to set up, operate, and optimize CNC and manual machining equipment.

The role trains Level I and II operators and supports continuous improvement, while maintaining ITT Quick Change setup software and tooling for safe, organized production. Candidates must read English, perform shop math, work with precision within .0002 inch tolerances, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Must read, write and understand English, perform simple shop math calculations, and follow verbal and written instructions accurately.
Must have general computer experience.
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing good customer services; meeting quality standards.
Math knowledge: arithmetic, algebra, geometry, statistics and applications.
Mechanical knowledge of machines, tools, designs and maintenance.
Production knowledge: raw materials, processes, quality control, costs, and efficiency.
Able to set up and operate CNC machines such as lathes, mills, and mill turns.
Monitor operations by watching gauges and indicators for proper alignment.
Lean experience in setups and mistake proofing preferred.
High school diploma or GED or trade school certification.

Responsibilities

Train Level I and II operators on running CNC machines, offsets, gear cutters, and manual machines.
Contribute ideas for continuous improvement in setups and processes.
Maintain ITT Quick Change setup software and tooling.
Keep work area clean and maintain setup tooling in proper holders.
Perform other duties as assigned.
