Job summary

TECOMET in New Jersey is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist III to produce precision components by operating, setting up, and possibly programming CNC mills and lathes. You will read blueprints, monitor tolerances, and ensure quality and safety standards across production runs.

Responsibilities include optimizing setups, tooling changes, maintaining documentation, and contributing to continuous improvement efforts while meeting productivity targets and GMP/GDP guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within tolerances following work instructions.
• Propose new production set ups and change offsets/tooling in machines as part of the new setup.
• Perform difficult CNC machining including progressive machining with very close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work Instructions.
• Assist Engineering with fixtures redesign to increase quality and productivity, change dull tooling, and minor offsets.
