Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist III to operate, set up, and potentially program CNC mills, Wire EDMs and lathes. You’ll read specifications, troubleshoot CNC programs, and contribute to precision production.

The role emphasizes maintaining quality, safety, and process improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, with opportunities to support tooling and fixture design as needed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and CNC lathes within specified tolerances following work instructions and in accordance with machine programs and engineering drawings.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling in machines as part of the new setup.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and different metals where very close tolerances must be maintained.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.
