Job summary

TECOMET seeks an experienced CNC Machinist III to produce high-precision parts by operating and setting up CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes, with close attention to tolerances and drawings.

The role may involve limited programming, maintaining equipment, and ensuring OOQ quality. You will help improve processes, follow GMP/GDP practices, and document workflows while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years CNC machining experience.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and specifications.
• Ability to operate and set up CNC machines with close tolerances.
• Capable of basic programming with supervision.
• Strong math and measurement skills for quality control.
• Commitment to safety, GMP/GDP practices, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDMs and lathes.
• Read blueprints and evaluate specifications for parts.
• Propose new setups and adjust tooling or offsets.
• Perform high-precision machining with close tolerances.
• Maintain quality using OOQ standards and metrology tools.
• Troubleshoot CNC programs and processes.
• Support continuous improvement and update work instructions.
• Complete job routers/cards and follow GMP/GDP disciplines.
• Record activities in the job tracking system and ensure safety.
• Train new machinists and assist engineering with fixtures.
