Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and technical training in shop math, blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Minimum of 10 years of trade school apprenticeship or equivalent shop experience as a machinist.
• Clear communication, both oral and written; strong organizational skills.
• Meets productivity standards by completing work in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Works from drawings, sketches and specifications to complete machining operations.
• Performs machine set ups to obtain close tolerances and proper alignment.
• Obtains inspections on first pieces and performs in-process inspections with diverse measuring devices.
• Maintains records of time, parts, inspections, and requisitions for each job.
• Makes jigs, fixtures or other non-production devices as assigned.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area and adheres to quality procedures.
