Job summary

ALIGN PRECISION is seeking a skilled machinist in Tempe, AZ to manufacture detailed parts and tools from blueprints and verbal instructions, operating CNC milling and turning centers, grinders, and other machining equipment. You will measure with precision instruments and verify tolerances to ensure conformance with specifications.

You will document processes in the ERP system, assist with tooling development, participate in continuous improvement, and maintain a clean, safe work area on-site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus advanced training.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements.
• Basic computer skills.
• Problem solving abilities.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
• Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to get along with co-workers and be a team player.
• Understand and obey safety requirements.
• Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers according to complex blueprints and specifications.
• Retrieve job related information (job routings, part drawing, tool lists, work-instructions, etc.).
• Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools and work holding for various materials and machining processes.
• Document manufactured quantities and all required processes utilizing ERP system
• Perform precise measurements and inspections to ensure parts meet stringent quality control standards.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machining efficiency.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
• May assist with developing new machining methods and tooling for complex parts.
• Other duties assigned.
