Job summary

Align Precision Corp in Tempe is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to produce precise parts from blueprints and verbal instructions. This role uses mills, lathes, and CNC equipment, with a focus on dimensional accuracy and quality control.

The candidate will set up tooling, monitor feeds, perform measurements with calipers and micrometers, and support engineering in new manufacturing approaches. Great teamwork and safety adherence are essential.

Qualifications

5-6 years of relevant experience.
High school degree or equivalent, plus advanced training.
Excellent attention to detail.
Working knowledge of customer specifications and requirements.
Basic computer skills.
Problem solving abilities.
Ability to use calipers, micrometers, etc.
Mastery of basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions).
Strong teamwork and communication skills to get along with co-workers and be a team player.
Understand and obey safety requirements.
Commitment to keep work area clean and free of debris.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and maintain CNC milling and turning centers according to complex blueprints and specifications.
Retrieve job related information (job routings, part drawing, tool lists, work-instructions, etc.)
Select and utilize appropriate cutting tools and work holding for various materials and machining processes.
Document manufactured quantities and all required processes utilizing ERP system
Perform precise measurements and inspections to ensure parts meet stringent quality control standards.
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machining efficiency.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
May assist with developing new machining methods and tooling for complex parts.
Other duties assigned.
