Job summary

TAIT develops cutting-edge live experiences and employs a CNC Operator to machine parts using milling equipment. The role supports Level II machinists and covers setting up tools, programming with CAM software, and ensuring part quality through inspection.

The position requires reading blueprints, G-code, and M-code, with training on other shifts as needed. OT and shift flexibility are expected in a dynamic shop environment.

Qualifications

• Requires 3–5 years of progressive milling experience or equivalent
• Ability to read G-code and M-code and interpret blueprints/diagrams
• Experience with precision measuring instruments and CAM software
• Proficient with manual milling tools; able to work with limited supervision
• Flexibility with shifts and overtime as needed

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints and job kits
• Identify, locate, and build tooling for production
• Program CNC milling machines using CAM software
• Set up products on milling tools
• Evaluate material and part quality before production
• Operate multiple milling tools and manage tool offsets
• Edit CNC programs during prove-out
• Provide training to level I machinists and interns
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures
• Deliver finished parts to designated areas
