Job summary

TAIT is seeking a CNC Mill Machinist for night/weekend shifts (5th shift: Fri–Sun, 5pm–5am) in Lititz, PA. The role focuses on milling machine setup, operation, and quality control with guidance from senior machinists. Training may require temporary shifts during onboarding.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent and 1–3 years milling experience, plus proficient communication and ability to adapt to changing priorities. OT may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or trade school; or 1–3 years milling experience.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up products on assigned milling machine tools with department support.
• Operate milling machines per programmer/higher machinists input.
• Read blueprints, diagrams, and job travelers for direction.
• Load and unload milling tools in a timely fashion.
• Allocate 80%+ of hours to contracted jobs each shift.
• Identify, locate, and build required tooling for production.
• Create and edit CNC offsets for fixtures and tooling.
• Perform tool breakage detection and wear symptom checks.
• Deliver finished parts to designated areas.
• Follow safety policies and maintain production schedules.
