Job summary

TAIT is seeking a skilled CNC Operator to machine parts with milling equipment in a fast-paced shop. You will be responsible for program setup, prove-out, first article inspection, and guiding junior machinists. The role emphasizes precision, autonomy, and safety in a diverse production environment.

Ideal candidates have strong G-code/M-code reading, CAM software experience, and the ability to read blueprints. Training may require shifts outside regular hours; OT is possible.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and job kits.
• Read G-code and M-code and verify tooling.
• Operate and program CNC milling machines with CAM software.
• Interpret drawings and perform first article inspection.
• Mentor/guide junior machinists and interns.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, and job kits, with some assistance.
• Identify, locate, and build all required tooling for production.
• Program various CNC milling machines utilizing CAM software, with limited support.
• Send CNC code/program to self and others.
• Set up majority of products on milling machine tools.
• Evaluate the quality of materials and report concerns.
