Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a seasoned CNC Machinist III to produce precision parts by operating and setting up CNC mills, wires, and lathes in a high-standard manufacturing environment. You will work from engineering drawings, ensure OOQ quality, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong math skills, attention to detail, and the ability to train junior machinists while maintaining safety and GMP/GDP compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only).

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within tolerances per instructions and drawings.
• Propose new production setups and change offsets/tooling in machines.
• Perform difficult CNC machining including progressive work and close tolerances.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work instructions.
• Assist Engineering with redesigning fixtures to improve quality and productivity.
• Ensure product quality per OOQ standards using measuring equipment and readings.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining needs.
• Perform routine maintenance as per PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
• Maintain safe working practices and report safety issues.
• Record all activities in the job tracking system.
• Identify and support Continuous Improvement activities.
