Job summary

Tecomet is seeking a CNC Machinist III to produce machined parts by operating, setting up CNC mills, Wire EDMs, and lathes, while maintaining quality and safety standards. The role may involve some programming and requires adherence to GMP/GDP and 5S practices.

The ideal candidate will read blueprints, troubleshoot CNC programs, and work with continuous improvement initiatives to meet productivity targets and quality guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• 5+ years CNC Machining experience.
• Associate degree/certificate in Tooling & Machining or Machinist apprenticeship preferred.
• GCSE/NVQ Maths and English is desirable (UK only)

Responsibilities

• Operate, set up, and could program CNC mills, Wire EDM's, and CNC lathes within tolerances.
• Propose new production Set ups and change offsets/tooling in machines.
• Perform difficult CNC Machinist work including progressive machining of a variety of parts and metals.
• Read and evaluate blueprints or specifications.
• Troubleshoot and understand CNC programs and processes.
• Improve and produce work Instructions.
• Assist Engineering with redesigning fixtures to increase quality standards and productivity.
• Ensure product quality is achieved by OOQ standards using measuring equipment.
• Propose adjusted speeds and feeds for different machining requirements.
• Perform routine maintenance per PM schedule.
• Perform hand finishing.
• Follow GMP/GDP and complete job routers/cards.
