Job summary

FM Industries in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist IV to perform precise CNC set-ups on mills and lathes and ensure conformance to drawings using calibrated measuring tools. You will interpret GD&T, load NC programs from a DNC, and maintain quality through in-process inspection.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years CNC experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read part drawings and apply GD&T concepts to understand geometric requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to set-up jobs independently.
• Ability to interpret GD&T symbols (Flatness, Straightness, Cylindricity, Circularity).
• Operate CNC machines (Mill, Lathe, Grinder) and understand NC codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and timely CNC set-ups on mills/ lathes.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T per design intent.
• Load programs from DNC and run NC codes.
• Perform fixture changes and tool length offsets.
• Train new hires and assist department staff.
• Conduct in-process inspection of critical features.
