FM Industries in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a CNC Machinist I. The role involves setting up and operating CNC lathes or mills to produce parts per drawings, with strict adherence to GD&T and quality standards. Expect DNC tasks, tool changes, and rigorous inspection using precision measuring equipment.

The position requires strong CNC experience (5+ years preferred) and the ability to work 1st or 2nd shift. Compensation up to $38/hour, based on experience, with a 10% differential for 2nd shift.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2 years CNC experience with certificates for machining levels 1 & 2 plus an AS in Manufacturing.
• Ability to read part drawings and apply GD&T rules.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe or mill for production.
• Observe machine operation to detect issues and adjust controls.
• Perform DNC communications and download tool programs.
• Inspect parts using calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Replace tools and document tool changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety and 6S practices.
