Job summary

Laborup is seeking skilled CNC Machinists for an aerospace and semiconductor precision shop near Philadelphia, PA. You will own parts end-to-end—from blueprint interpretation to final inspection—using GD&T, 5-axis setups, and in-process verification on large-format materials.

We offer a high-mix, low-volume environment with prototype work, and opportunities to contribute engineering-driven changes. Shift options available; compensation negotiable through interview.

Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC machining in precision environments.
• Independent complex setups: tooling, offsets, workholding.
• Reads complex blueprints and applies GD&T.
• Writes and edits G/M-code at the control.
• Holds tight tolerances with manual inspection tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up large-format 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills for prototype and job-shop work.
• Dial in unproven, high-complexity parts through first article validation.
• Interpret complex prints, models, and routings using GD&T.
• Build fixturing/workholding for 5-axis kinematics and collision avoidance.
• Read, write, and edit G/M-code, offsets, and tooling compensation.
• Verify tight tolerances using micrometers, indicators, and precision gauges.
• Recommend manufacturability improvements to engineers.
