Job summary

RTX is seeking a skilled machinist for 2nd shift in the United States. You will interpret blueprints, GD&T, and specifications to guide operation, fabricate and assemble metal parts, and perform precise machining setups. You will inspect finished work, monitor quality via SPC, and ensure safety standards are followed.

The role requires lifting up to 35 pounds, standing 8+ hours, and willingness for overtime including extended days and weekends. Onsite work with comprehensive benefits is provided.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 1 year of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics/technical drawings.
• Experience with CNC tooling setup and basic metrology.

Responsibilities

• Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and specifications for operation and tolerances.
• Assemble, repair, and fabricate metal parts using machining equipment.
• Set up machines, take material measurements, and select appropriate tooling.
• Perform machining setups and adjustments as needed.
• Conduct inspections and check SPC charts for quality.
• Adhere to safety procedures and complete required EH&S trainings.
