Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Senior Machinist/Programmer for the 2nd shift at our Cincinnati, Ohio facility to machine turbo machinery components and 3D printed hardware using 3-axis and 5-axis CNC centers.

You will develop fixtures, program on-line and off-line, quote work, maintain production records, and ensure EH&S and quality compliance while supporting continuous improvement across the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 4+ years CNC machining experience in turbo machinery components.
• Experience machining castings, forging or 3D printed hardware using 5 axis CNC, and EDM machines.
• High School Diploma.
• Experience in SolidCAM, MasterCam or NX PowerMill an asset.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office (2 years programming experience).
• Strong technical skills in GD&T & blueprints.
• Strong experience with turning/lathes.
• Some experience working with Heat Resistant Super Alloys (Nickel Alloys).
• Experience with OKUMA and Makino multi axis CNC equipment preferred.
• Excellent problem solving, organizational, communication and teamwork skills.
• Exposure to working within a facility quality systems and codes (ISO 9001, AS9100).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issues security clearance is required. U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Setup and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical machining centers and CMM equipment.
• Develop machining fixtures for complex aerospace components.
• Program CNC equipment on-line and off-line.
• Quote machining work for internal and external customers.
• Maintain accurate and legible records of production work and results.
• Uphold a high degree of work-area cleanliness and organization.
• Explore opportunities to add value to the organization.
• Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on shop equipment.
• Identify EH&S hazards, risks and controls of shop operations at the site.
• Ensure full compliance with EHS and Quality requirements.
• Allocate tooling to be ordered for jobs.
