Job summary

Htprof is seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Machinist on 2nd shift (3 PM - 11 PM) in Springfield, MA. The role requires setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC lathes (3-5 axis) with minimal supervision to produce high-quality parts.

You will select tools, set feeds and speeds, and perform part inspections to ensure conformance to blueprints and tolerances. A strong background in 5-axis work and adherence to safety and productivity standards is essential.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of CNC machining (lathe) experience in 3-4 axis setup and operation.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines (3, 4, and 5-axis) per blueprints.
• Make adjustments and troubleshoot controllers, machines and processes.
• Set feeds and speeds and select tools to meet production needs.
• Inspect machined parts with precision hand tools to ensure quality.
• Work independently with minimal supervision and maintain productivity.
• Lift up to 70 lbs as needed and keep a clean, organized workspace.
• Monitor inventory and reorder tools as necessary.
