Job summary

SkillSource Tech is assisting a Springfield, MA area client in finding a skilled CNC Programmer to join their team. The role centers on 5-axis milling and turning, developing programs and processes per AS-9100 guidelines.

Responsibilities include setup and prove-out of programs, operator training, and collision-free machining with Mastercam, GibbsCAM, Fusion 360, NX, and G-code. A minimum of 5 years in production metal cutting is required, with strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a 5-axis CNC milling or turning machinist in a production metal-cutting environment.
• Mastercam programming for CNC Milling and Turning.
• G-code programming using variables and Macro-B arguments.
• Clean, organized, and multi-task capable.
• Experience with titanium, stainless steel, cobalt chrome, or PEEK.

Responsibilities

• Maintain production efficiency through machine and process improvement.
• Adhere to and maintain production schedules and quality objectives.
• Develop inspection methods and layout and develop programs for effective machining.
• Troubleshoot with operators and set up programs before release to production.
• Train operators to utilize skills needed for quality products.
