Job summary

Barber-Nichols seeks a Machinist III for the second shift to set up and operate manual tools in support of CNC operations. You will handle 2-axis CNC horizontal or VTL lathes and up to 5-axis machines, organize materials, and requisition tooling as needed.

Qualified candidates have 12+ years of machine tool setup and operation in ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype/job shop environments and can work overtime. BN offers a sign-on bonus, competitive hourly pay, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 12 years of machine tool setup and operation in ISO/AS/MIL STD prototype/job shop environments.

Responsibilities

• Setup and operation of manual machine tools in support of CNC operations.
• Setup and operation of 2 axis CNC horizontal & VTL lathes and/or 3, 4, 5 axis lathes.
• Organizes, stages, and moves materials as required.
• Evaluates and requisitions tooling and supplies.
