100Hires, Inc. is seeking a senior CNC Field Service Technician to own multi-day installations of large CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers at customer sites.

You will lead commissioning, alignments, and calibration, and provide on-site and in-house support. The role requires hands-on experience with Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens controls, 480V electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, and precise calibration using indicators or lasers.

Qualifications

• Senior-level field service experience with large CNC machines.
• Proven ability to install, commission, and troubleshoot complex systems.
• Experience with multiple CNC control platforms (Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills up to 480V.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-day installations and commissioning of CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers.
• Coordinate rigging, leveling, alignment, and calibration; perform tests for customer acceptance.
• Configure and troubleshoot CNC controls, servo systems, spindles, and subsystems.
• Travel to customer sites (up to 50%); provide on-site and in-house support; train operators.

Senior CNC Field Service Technician (Machine Tool Installation)Location: Harbor City, CATravel: Up to 50%, including week-long customer-site installationsCompensation: $100,000–$130,000 annuallyThe roleThis is a senior-level field service position for an expert who can independently own full installations after learning Lagun-specific products and processes. You’ll lead complex installs of large CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers at customer sites and provide professional onsite and in-house support.Key responsibilitiesOwn multi-day installations and commissioning of large CNC mills, lathes, and machining centers.Coordinate rigging and machine positioning; perform leveling, alignment, geometry checks, and calibration.Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC controls, servo systems, spindles, and machine subsystems.Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical (up to 480V), hydraulic, and pneumatic issues.Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals to drive resolution.Execute accuracy and performance testing prior to customer acceptance.Deliver operator training focused on safety and basic maintenance.Document service actions, repairs, parts usage, and recommendations.Travel to customer sites (often for a full week) to provide professional onsite support.What you bringProven experience independently installing and commissioning large CNC machine tools.Hands-on background with machining centers, mills, or lathes and controls such as Fanuc, Heidenhain, Fagor, Siemens (or similar).Strong mechanical skills: alignment, bearings, ball screws, spindles, and lubrication systems.Electrical troubleshooting experience up to 480V.Precision measurement and machine calibration using indicators, levels, lasers, or comparable tools.Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, servo systems, and PLC-controlled equipment.Clear, confident communication with customers; ability to work independently at their sites.Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 50%.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in manufacturing environments.Note: This is not an entry-level role.
