Job summary

Siemens Energy is seeking a Senior CNC Machinist to plan, set up, and operate CNC VBM, Lathe, and HBM systems for precision tooling and fixtures in a climate-controlled facility. You will work with internal customers to develop tooling and fixtures using conventional and CNC methods.

The role requires 3+ years in tool rooms, GD&T proficiency, and experience reading complex blueprints. A high school diploma is required, with an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better; associates preferred.
• 3+ years of tool room experience or equivalent proficiency with GD&T and machining.
• Demonstrated CNC capability including offsets, metrology, and depth in at least one area (Lathe, Vertical/Horizontal Boring Mill).
• Background in manual machining, setups, tool wear monitoring, G-/M-codes, troubleshooting, and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment across diverse parts and components.
• Independently run CNC VBM, Lathe, and HBM on appropriate controls.
• Employ tables, workholding, and fixtures to ensure precision and throughput.
• Collaborate with internal customers to design and build development tooling and fixtures.
