Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist in Charlotte, NC to set up and operate manual and CNC machines, read complex drawings, and perform precision machining with GD&T accuracy.

You will routinely run mills and lathes, inspect parts, and maintain tooling, while adhering to safety and maintenance protocols. The role requires at least 3 years of CNC experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and the ability to obtain forklift/crane certifications through internal Siemens

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Functional knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming and ability to perform manual machining operations using lathes and mills.
• Ability to work from written, oral, and graphical instructions, lift up to 50 lbs, with or without accommodation, and obtain forklift and crane licenses through internal programs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual and CNC horizontal milling machines, manual lathes, and CNC lathes.
• Secure workpieces and align tooling to drawings.
• Follow procedures using lineups, manuscripts, programs, and tooling sheets.
• Machining operations including mill, drill, ream, bore, tap, turn, face, groove, radius, grind.
• Perform in-process checks and record data, adjust offsets as needed.
• Chip removal, deburring/cleaning, and inspection.
• Perform preventive maintenance and document downtime and logs.
