Job summary

Qualifications

What You’ll Work On

Inside our climate-controlled manufacturing campus supporting Steam Turbine, Large Generator, Gas Turbine, and Combustion Components, you’ll plan, design, and produce tooling and fixtures. You’ll manufacture, modify, repair, and assemble complex machine tools with limited supervision—partnering with internal customers to deliver development and production-ready solutions.

Your Core Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines for precision part manufacture
• Run one or more of the following with confidence: CNC VBM (various controls), CNC Lathe, CNC HBM (various controls)
• Use tables, workholding, and custom fixtures to maintain accuracy and repeatability

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate’s degree preferred
• 3+ years of tool room experience or equivalent GD&T mastery
• Demonstrated CNC proficiency, including offsets and metrology, with depth in at least one area: Lathe, Vertical Boring Mill, or Horizontal Boring Mill
• Knowledge across manual machining, setups, tool wear, G- and M-code usage, troubleshooting, and blueprint reading
• Advanced shop math; ability to digest complex drawings/specs/charts; strong with precision measuring instruments
• The Career Readiness/Work Keys Certificate – Silver Status required
• Must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests
• Physical demands are moderate with periodic heavier lifts
