Job summary

Siemens Energy in Charlotte, NC seeks a skilled CNC Machinist to set up and operate manual and CNC mills and lathes, read blueprints, and verify tolerances with GD&T. You’ll work from complex drawings and maintain precision while documenting processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Functional knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming and ability to perform manual machining operations using lathes and mills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and obtain forklift/crane licenses through internal programs.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines by installing tooling and adjusting machine settings to job docs and drawings.
• Load/unload parts using material handling devices and assist crane operator.
• Secure workpieces to ensure accurate alignment and leveling.
• Operate machines to mill, drill, ream, bore, tap, turn, face, groove, radius, and grind as required.
• Conduct in-process checks to maintain tolerances and record data.
• Remove chips and perform deburring/cleaning as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance and document downtime and log sheets.
