The Florida Department of Veterans’ Affairs invites applications for the Senior Certified Nursing Assistant (SCNA) position at the State Veterans’ Nursing Home. The incumbent will provide direct nursing care under supervision, assist residents with activities of daily living, and ensure safe, respectful service in a skilled nursing setting.

Qualified candidates must hold a Florida CNA license or be in training, be willing to work weekends/evenings/holidays, and pass a Level II background check

Formación

• Must have Florida CNA license or be in training awaiting test date.
• Willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.
• Experience in long-term care or 120-bed facility.
• Level II background check and drug test required.
• High school diploma or GED

Responsabilidades

• Provide direct nursing care under supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Assist with activities of daily living and mobility.
• Observe and report resident concerns to shift supervisor.
• Record vital signs and medications; document in facility software.
• Follow Residents Rights and HIPAA policies.
• Transport residents to appointments and assist with activities.
