Job summary
The State Veterans’ Nursing Home of Florida is seeking a Senior Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct nursing care under the supervision of a licensed nurse. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor residents, and document care in facility software.
The role requires weekend/evening availability and adherence to safety and privacy policies. Eligible for a .50 per hour shift differential on 2nd or 3rd shifts, plus comprehensive retirement, health and paid time off benefits.
Qualifications
- Must hold current Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license.
- Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking, understanding).
- Basic computer skills are required.
- Must successfully complete background check and drug test.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents under supervision.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and mobility.
- Observe, report, and respond to resident concerns promptly to the shift supervisor.
- Document services provided in facility software/databases.
- Attend in-service programs and maintain Residents' Rights and HIPAA compliance.
