Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Olathe, Kansas is seeking a Sr Advanced Project Engineer in Communication, Navigation & Surveillance (Finance) to lead proposals, define scope, and manage schedules and budgets on onsite projects.

You will act as the technical POC for customers and program manager, monitor progress with Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics, and drive risk management and continuous improvement while collaborating across functions and with certification agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• At least 6 years of experience in project engineering or related roles in the Aerospace industry.
• Experience with timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.
• Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft project.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Lead a robust risk management process to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
• Contain scope growth though robust baseline change management.
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.
