Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace seeks an Advanced Systems Engineer (Finance) to design and develop advanced aerospace systems. This role reports to the Engineering Manager and is based 100% on-site in Olathe, KS, contributing to flight safety, efficiency, and innovation across aerospace programs.

Responsibilities include supporting RadAlt products, RCCA, NPI activities, and developing system architectures while collaborating with technicians and cross-functional teams to meet demanding requirements and

Qualifications

• BS in a technical discipline (STEM).
• 5+ years aerospace work experience.
• 5+ years prototyping, trade studies, and hardware cost modeling.
• 5+ years hands-on troubleshooting with electronic hardware and test equipment.
• 1+ years real-time in-person collaboration with non-engineering functions.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for RadAlt products in development or full-rate production.
• Work with technicians and operations staff to address issues, lead RCCA.
• Work producibility projects related to RadAlt products.
• Support NPI program activities in production.
• Develop requirements and system architecture; perform trade studies.
• Design to meet requirements; discipline dependent.
• Test and validate designs on bench, off-site facilities, and flight testing.
• Draft program artifacts: requirements, test procedures, reports, white papers.
• Participate in proposals and cost estimation.
• Jump in and support other team members when needed.
• Perform RCCA on issues that arise during development.
• Stay abreast of industry standards and distill into actionable activities.
• Provide expert recommendations to leadership on pursuits and roadmaps.
