Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Olathe, Kansas seeks a seasoned project engineer to lead proposals, scope definition, schedules, and budgeting. You will serve as the technical contact for customers and the program manager, driving risk management and baseline change control.

Requires a STEM degree and at least 6 years in aerospace project roles with EVM experience. Travel to customer and internal meetings may be required; PMP certification is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM) from an accredited institution.
• At least 6 years of experience in project engineering or related roles in the Aerospace industry; strong EVM background.
• Experience with timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.
• Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft Project.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Lead a robust risk management process to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
• Contain scope growth through robust baseline change management.
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.
