Honeywell Aerospace in Olathe, KS is seeking a qualified Project Engineer to lead aerospace program efforts onsite. You will oversee proposals, define scope, schedules, and budgets, and coordinate with customers and program managers to ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate has a technical STEM degree, 6+ years of aerospace project engineering experience, and proficiency with Earned Value Management. PMP and advanced degrees are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (STEM).
• At least 6 years of experience in project engineering or related roles in the Aerospace industry.
• Experience with timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM).

Responsibilities

• Lead teams in development of proposals, statements of work and associated cost estimates.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for customers and the program manager.
• Define and implement project scope, objectives, deliverables, prepare schedules and resource forecasting in Microsoft project.
• Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines and budgets using Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Lead a robust risk management process to identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact project delivery.
• Contain scope growth through robust baseline change management.
• Coordinate and communicate with stakeholders to provide project updates and address concerns.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and practices.
