Job summary

ECS Group of Companies in the United States seeks a CMT Senior Project Engineer to lead construction materials testing projects from proposal to closeout. This role is accountable for technical quality, client satisfaction, financial performance and team execution.

The position provides leadership to project teams, mentors staff, and supports business development and client relationship growth while upholding ECS Core Values. A PE license and 5 years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in each state of practice.
• 5 years of related experience in construction materials testing.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Advanced project management and consulting skills.
• Strong knowledge of ASTM standards in construction materials testing.
• Proficiency with construction materials testing software.
• Ability to lead multiple projects and mentor staff.

Responsibilities

• Leads and oversees construction materials testing projects from proposal through final delivery.
• Ensures all project tasks from proposal through final invoicing are completed on time.
• Oversees daily report review and resolves technical issues.
• Manages project budgets, invoicing, pay applications, and collections.
• Prepares and reviews proposals and change orders.
• Serves as primary contact for clients and stakeholders.
• Hosts project meetings to present findings and resolve issues.
• Provides technical oversight for testing activities and deliverables.
• Mentors junior staff, technicians, and project managers.
• Supports staffing decisions and resource allocation across projects.
• Markets services and develops client relationships.
• Performs other project management and leadership responsibilities.
