Job summary

Randstad USA is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer for a hybrid shift role in Connecticut. You will develop, validate, and troubleshoot CMM programs using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or comparable software, interpreting GD&T and complex drawings to drive accurate inspections.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on CMM programming experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Background in plastic injection molding, tooling, or medical device inspection within regulated environments (ISO 9001 / ISO 13485).
• Proficiency with PC-DMIS, Calypso, or comparable CMM software.

Responsibilities

• Independently develop, modify, validate, and troubleshoot CMM programs using PC-DMIS, Calypso, or comparable software.
• Interpret complex engineering drawings, CAD models, specifications, and ASME Y14.5 GD&T to determine inspection methods, datum structures, and measurement strategies.
• Perform inspections using CMMs, Micro-Vu/vision systems, and precision hand tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges).
• Conduct First Article Inspections (including AS9102), MSA, Gage R&R studies, and process capability studies.
• Assist in designing inspection fixtures and provide metrology guidance to Quality, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams.
