Job summary

Connexion Systems & Engineering is seeking an experienced CMM Programmer in Somerville, MA to join a rapidly growing aerospace manufacturer. You will develop and optimize CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS and work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure the highest quality standards.

The role requires strong hands-on PC-DMIS experience, GD&T expertise, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6+ years CMM programming experience preferred (3+ years for strong candidates).
• Extensive PC-DMIS programming experience is required.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ability to read engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize CMM inspection programs using PC-DMIS.
• Create inspection routines for machined components at multiple manufacturing stages.
• Ensure inspections reflect GD&T requirements.
• Collaborate daily with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, and Production to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain inspection documentation, reports and non-conformance records.
• Support root cause investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Mentor junior CMM programmers and inspectors.
• Drive quality, efficiency, and best practices throughout inspection processes.

We're seeking an experienced CMM Programmer to join a rapidly growing aerospace manufacturing organization. This is not a quality inspector role with occasional programming responsibilities. We're looking for someone with strong, hands‑on PC-DMIS programming experience who can develop robust inspection programs and help mentor less experienced team members.

What You'll Do

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 6+ years of CMM programming experience preferred (3+ years considered for strong candidates)
• Extensive experience programming with PC-DMIS
• Strong understanding of GD&T
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Experience with machined components and precision inspection
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
• Must be eligible to work in an ITAR/EAR-regulated manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Aerospace manufacturing experience
• Experience inspecting components manufactured through turning and milling processes
• Familiarity with manual layout inspection techniques
• Experience working with titanium, nickel, and aluminum components
