Job summary

Amsted Automotive, Cold Forming & Finishing seeks an experienced CMM Programmer to develop and maintain inspection programs, interpret blueprints with GD&T, and drive precision measurements. You will collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues and support improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires strong programming knowledge of Open DMIS and PC DMIS, plus experience with Zeiss CMMs and GD&T.

Qualifications

A two-year technical degree is preferred or equivalent relevant certifications.
At least 5 years of on-the-job work experience in programming and operating a Zeiss CMM.
Strong understanding of GD&T and reading drawing specifications.
A working knowledge of statistics and data analysis is useful in this position.
Must know Open DMIS and PC DMIS.

Responsibilities

Develop, create and maintain inspection programs.
Interpret blueprints and GD&T requirements, perform dimensional inspections, analyze measurement data.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Program, set up and operate a Zeiss CMM; write or edit programs for precision machinery.
Schedule software upgrades and calibration requirements.
