Job summary

Legends Golf Resort in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Club Controller to lead day-to-day finance operations across multiple golf clubs. You will supervise a small team, manage accounting, AR/AP, taxes and month-end close, and partner with General Managers and Corporate to improve financial performance.

The role requires a degree in accounting/finance (CPA preferred), strong GAAP knowledge, and 8+ years in progressive finance roles, ideally with hospitality experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting and/or finance required; CPA preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
• Team player with customer service orientation.
• 8+ years of progressive experience; ideally public accounting and hospitality.
• Solid understanding of US GAAP.
• Club/hospitality experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare weekly/monthly reporting packages.
• Manage month-end close and GAAP compliance.
• Provide budget vs actual variance analyses.
• Drive process improvements in accounting and reporting.
• Design and enforce accounting policies and procedures.
• Support tax provisions and year-end activities.
• Oversee payroll, AP and AR processes.
• Coordinate with Corporate Controller and General Managers.
• Print/distribute financial packets to leaders; assist with research of variances.
