Job summary

Harvey Nash is seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Cloud Operations team. You will administer and operate the global cloud infrastructure for a SaaS platform, ensuring high availability and scalable performance.

You will work closely with engineers across the company to deploy, monitor, and optimize critical systems. The role requires strong Linux, SRE/DevOps background, and experience with monitoring and configuration management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is expected.
• Strong Linux experience and production system administration.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure components (hardware, OS, apps, DBs, networks).
• Prior SRE/DevOps work in large-scale cloud or MSP environments is highly desirable.
• Experience with monitoring and config management tools (Nagios/Icinga, Ansible, Puppet, cfengine, chef, Splunk, Logstash).
• Familiarity with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MariaDB preferred.
• Excellent troubleshooting across web, app, DB and network layers.
• Knowledge of networking (routing, switching, load balancing) and familiarity with F5/NGINX would help.
• Understanding ITIL v3 for incidents, problems and changes.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
