Job summary

Carrier Global Corporation is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design and operate a scalable cloud-native platform. You will define reliability standards, build self-service capabilities, and drive automation across SaaS services, partnering with architecture, cybersecurity, DevOps, and product teams.

The role emphasizes incident leadership, observability, and continuous improvement, with a broad scope across cloud infrastructure, IaC, and CI/CD pipelines in a global organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related fields, or 5+ years with a Master’s degree.
• 3+ years designing and supporting large-scale cloud environments.
• 3+ years of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK).
• 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• 3+ years AWS experience (EKS, EC2, VPC, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM).
• 3+ years implementing observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Datadog, Splunk, or New Relic).

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure for SaaS platforms.
• Define SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs across critical services to ensure reliability.
• Build self-service platform capabilities for development teams.
• Develop reliability frameworks and best practices to improve resilience.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews for systemic improvements.
• Mentor engineers in reliability engineering practices and automation.
