Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer for hybrid cloud engineering work in a government context. The role emphasizes architecture, integration, security, and verification across cloud-hosted systems, with a focus on GovCloud, Kubernetes, and DevSecOps practices.

The position is a contract role with W2 benefits, offering the opportunity to influence design decisions across multiple technical areas while collaborating in scaled agile teams.

Formación

• Proven cloud architecture and planning for hybrid environments.
• Hands-on with ECS, EKS, and OpenShift.
• Security architecture supporting SSP and ATO in regulated settings.

Responsabilidades

• Lead technical planning and cloud architecture for hybrid on‑prem to AWS designs across VPCs, GovCloud and multiple clusters.
• Conduct platform trade studies and sizing for ECS, EKS, and OpenShift with cost and effort modeling across Dev, Test, and Ops.
• Drive integration, verification and validation, and fielding within FISMA High boundaries, including GovCloud cutover.
• Design security architecture including trust boundaries and segmentation.
• Engineer networking patterns including ALB, WAF, PrivateLink, and endpoints.
• Own requirements development and technical papers; provide design guidance to teams.
• Lead hardware/software integration and cloud design for Java/microservices ecosystems.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, SBOM, image signing, secrets management, and policy as code.
• Incorporate AI for coding, test creation, debugging, and analysis.
