Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to help shape cloud-hosted software systems across hybrid environments, guiding architecture, integration, and security decisions. The role spans DevSecOps, security architecture, and AI-assisted engineering, with a focus on scalable, compliant solutions.

The ideal candidate understands cross-functional collaboration in Scaled Agile teams and possesses a U.S. citizenship with a Public Trust clearance, ready to work on a W2 basis.

Qualifications

• Proven cloud architecture and technical planning experience for hybrid on‑prem to cloud environments.
• Hands-on with container platforms including ECS, EKS, OpenShift, and Kubernetes.
• Experience in regulated environments (FISMA High / FedRAMP High).
• Security architecture with segmentation and SSP/ATO mappings.
• Networking patterns and cloud security design for enterprise systems.
• Experience migrating containerized workloads to AWS GovCloud and multi-account setups.
• DevSecOps toolchain including CI/CD, IaC scanning, and secrets management.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical planning and cloud architecture for hybrid designs across multiple regions and clusters.
• Conduct platform trade studies and sizing for ECS, EKS, OpenShift with cost and effort modeling.
• Drive integration, verification, validation, and fielding within regulated environments.
• Design security architecture including trust boundaries and control mapping to SSP and ATO.
• Engineer networking patterns including ALB, WAF, PrivateLink, and endpoints.
• Own requirements development and technical documentation; write papers and white papers.
• Provide system and software design guidance within Scaled Agile teams.
• Lead hardware/software integration and cloud system design for Java/microservices ecosystems.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, CI/CD, SBOM, image signing, and secrets management.
• Incorporate AI tooling for coding, testing, and analysis.
