Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to guide cloud architecture and engineering strategy for hybrid environments. The role emphasizes architecture over routine coding, with focus on security, compliance, and scalable DevSecOps practices across AWS GovCloud and commercial regions.

Ideal candidates will bring hands-on experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, and a broad cloud toolkit, enabling architecture decisions, technical writing, and cross-team collaboration in a regulated

Qualifications

• United States Citizen with an active Public Trust clearance.
• W2 employment model with benefits.
• Hybrid on-prem to AWS environments experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Lead technical planning and cloud architecture for hybrid on‑prem to AWS designs across VPCs, GovCloud and commercial regions.
• Conduct platform trade studies and sizing for ECS, EKS, and OpenShift with cost and effort modeling across Dev, Test, and Ops environments.
• Drive integration, verification and validation, and fielding within FISMA High boundaries, including cutover to GovCloud.
• Design security architecture including trust boundaries, segmentation, and control mapping to SSP and ATO boundaries.
• Engineer networking patterns including ALB, WAF, routes and ingress, PrivateLink and endpoints.
• Own requirements development and analysis, technical writing, and authoring of technical papers and white papers.
