Job summary

SAP is seeking an Expert Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in the Sovereign Cloud Shared Management Services, part of the Technology and Engineering unit. You will secure and scale the foundational platform, ensuring reliability, security, and observability across multi-cloud environments.

You will lead a globally distributed team, drive AI-assisted incident response, enforce rigorous testing, and help define standardized operational processes while collaborating with cross-functional partners

Qualifications

• Ten years of DevOps/SRE engineering experience.
• Proven track record leading engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
• Deep mastery of SRE principles for globally distributed, mission-critical platforms.
• Advanced experience with modern monitoring tooling (Grafana, Prometheus).
• Background in security or security-adjacent roles with strong security foundations.
• Experience architecting AI-driven incident response workflows and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead a globally distributed team of engineers; set standards and best practices.
• Oversee code reviews and secure coding practices, including AI-assisted workflows.
• Ensure unit and functional test coverage for reliability and security.
• Own design and refinement of SRE frameworks: SLAs, SLOs, SLIs across multi-cloud environments.
• Drive backup and disaster recovery drills to ensure global resilience.
