Hitachi Energy Ltd. is seeking a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to ensure the secure, reliable, and efficient operation of cloud-hosted environments supporting ESS software products and customer deployments.

The role blends software engineering with operations to improve service reliability, incident response, and toil reduction across AWS and Azure. You will lead cloud maturity assessments, establish SRE standards, and collaborate with Product Development, Architecture, and CX teams to

Formación

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field; 10+ years in Cloud Operations or SRE.
Experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Production Operations, Platform Engineering or DevOps supporting SaaS systems.
Hands-on with Azure and/or AWS production workloads (networking, IAM, monitoring, logging, scaling, DR/backup).
Strong grounding in observability (metrics/logs/traces), alerting, and incident response operations.
Ability to translate product operational gaps into a prioritized backlog and drive improvements with partner teams.

Responsabilidades

Lead Cloud Maturity Assessments across AWS/Azure with standardized scoring and dashboards.
Define and implement reliability standards for observability and service health practices.
Facilitate cloud provider and internal readiness reviews to ensure workloads meet standards.
Implement SRE best practices: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, and toil reduction.
Lead post-incident reviews to improve uptime, resilience, and operational consistency.
Collaborate with Product Development, Architecture, PMO, SecOps, and CX teams across time zones.
