Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to ensure secure, reliable operation of cloud-hosted environments for ESS software products and customer deployments. The role blends software engineering and operations to improve service reliability and cost efficiency across AWS and Azure.

You will lead cloud maturity assessments, establish observability standards, and drive run operations, incident response, and toil reduction in a global, cross-functional team.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, engineering, IT or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Cloud Operations or SRE.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS production workloads.
• Strong grounding in observability, alerts, and incident response operations.
• Ability to translate product gaps into a prioritized backlog and drive improvements.
• Experience working with cloud-native architectures and distributed systems.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Cloud Maturity Assessments across products deployed on AWS and Azure, using scoring templates and dashboards to identify gaps.
• Define and implement reliability standards for observability and run health practices across products.
• Facilitate cloud provider and internal readiness reviews to ensure workloads meet standards and drive day-2 improvements.
• Implement SRE practices: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, and toil reduction.
• Lead post-incident reviews to improve uptime, resilience, and operational consistency.
