Hitachi Energy Ltd. seeks a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to ensure secure, reliable cloud-hosted environments supporting ESS software and customer deployments.

The role fuzes software engineering with operations to improve reliability, incident response, and toil reduction across AWS and Azure. You will lead Cloud Maturity Assessments, define observability standards, and partner with Product Development, DevOps, PMO, SecOps, Quality and CX to drive remediation into roadmaps and releases.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Administration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS production workloads.
• Strong grounding in observability, alerting strategy, and incident response operations.
• Proficiency with scripting or automation languages (Python, Bash, Ansible, PowerShell).
• Ability to translate product operational gaps into a prioritized backlog and drive improvements.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Cloud Maturity Assessments across AWS/Azure, using scoring templates and dashboards to identify gaps and drive remediation.
• Define and implement reliability standards for observability and run operations across products and platforms.
• Facilitate cloud provider/internal readiness reviews (FTR/WAFR-style) to ensure workloads meet standards and drive day-2 improvements.
• Implement SRE best practices: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, and toil reduction.
• Lead post-incident reviews and reliability improvements to boost uptime and resilience.
