HITACHI ENERGY USA INC. seeks a Principal Site Reliability Engineer to ensure secure, reliable operation of cloud-hosted environments for ESS software and customer deployments.

The SRE role spans software engineering and operations to improve reliability, incident response, and toil reduction across AWS and Azure. The candidate will lead Cloud Maturity Assessments, define reliability standards, and partner with cross-functional teams to drive remediation into roadmaps and releases.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, Site Reliability Engineering, or Infrastructure Administration.
• Hands-on experience with Azure and/or AWS production workloads.
• Strong grounding in observability, alerting, and incident response operations.
• Ability to translate product operational gaps into a prioritized backlog.

Responsabilidades

• Lead Cloud Maturity Assessments across AWS and Azure.
• Define and implement reliability standards for observability and service health.
• Facilitate cloud readiness reviews and drive day-2 operational improvements.
• Implement SRE best practices: SLIs/SLOs, error budgets, capacity planning, automation.
• Lead post-incident reviews and reliability improvements to boost uptime.
