Job summary

Carrier is seeking an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to design, build, and operate a cloud-native SaaS platform with a focus on reliability, security, and performance. You will drive automation, IaC, observability, and incident response while partnering with software, security, and DevOps teams.

The role emphasizes defining reliability standards, building self-service capabilities, and leading platform improvements at scale in a global organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in SRE/Platform/DevOps or 5+ years with a Master’s degree.
• 3+ years designing and supporting large-scale cloud environments.
• 3+ years building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• 3+ years of extensive AWS experience (EKS, EC2, VPC, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM).
• 3+ years implementing observability platforms with Prometheus/Grafana/Open Telemetry.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for SaaS platforms.
• Define SLOs/SLIs/SLAs across critical services.
• Build self-service platform capabilities for developers.
• Develop reliability frameworks and incident prevention strategies.
• Identify bottlenecks and eliminate single points of failure.
• Develop automation to reduce toil and improve deployment velocity.
• Lead incident response and post-incident reviews.
• Mentor engineers and promote a culture of automation and excellence.
• Collaborate with product, security, and architecture teams.
