Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a hands-on technical leader to own the architecture, delivery, and continuous improvement of a growing cloud orchestration platform. This fully remote role leads a small SRE team and drives infrastructure design, automation, and incident response across Google Cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in SRE/platform/infrastructure engineering with leadership experience
• Deep production Kubernetes expertise, clusters at scale and upgrades
• Strong Google Cloud Platform experience, especially GKE, IAM, VPC, private clusters
• Expert Terraform skills with reusable modules and multi-environment state management
• Proven ability to define architecture, write specifications, and translate designs into plans
• Experience coordinating delivery and guiding a small team
• On-call, incident management, postmortems, reliability improvements
• Fluent English; ability to work remotely in international environment

Responsibilities

• Own target architecture of the managed cloud platform on GCP
• Define architectural roadmap from Beta to GA, balancing isolation, reliability, and cost
• Write specs, RFCs, and ADRs explaining trade-offs
• Define SLOs and error budgets for services and tiers
• Lead delivery across a team of three, removing blockers
• Set engineering standards for Terraform modules, Helm charts, and GitOps
• Automate customer-instance lifecycle, provisioning, upgrades, scaling, backups
• Own deployment and release strategy with ArgoCD and GitHub Actions
• Build end-to-end observability: metrics, logs, traces, alerts
• Lead on-call operations, incident response, and blameless postmortems
• Plan capacity and ensure autoscaling is effective
• Drive cloud cost optimization with FinOps, cost attribution, spot instances
• Enhance security with SOC 2 considerations and risk controls
• Collaborate on product improvements to simplify cloud operations
• Lead milestones in first six months: GA specs, SLOs, automated provisioning, observability
